My Story
Lucille Arslanian, MEd, PHR, SHRM-CP, Certified Executive Coach, Certified Professional Facilitator
In February of 2016, I completed the position of Vice President of Human Resources at Gap International, a global management consulting company that partners with executives to produce exceptional growth through extraordinary performance.
In 1985, I joined Gap International to develop and grow the company and its associates through the establishment of the human resources organization (we started in the president’s small basement). I was responsible for enriching the corporate culture and executing the company’s global human resources strategies, including talent management and organizational development at Gap International and its subsidiaries.
As the VP of HR, I was responsible for the success of each associate in partnership with other leaders in the organization, in the following areas:
- Career paths: assess associates’ needs to build business acumen and specific technical skills
- Educational support: create educational offerings using internal and external programs
- Areas of support and development
- Executive presence
- Partner with the executive team regarding specific projects and confidential matters
As an executive coach and business consultant for our high-level leadership program, “Building a Breakthrough Executive,” I worked closely with senior executives to impact their leadership and performance.
In June of 2016, I started my HR consulting and executive business coaching practice, working with various companies and organizations to support their HR initiatives and work with their leaders as an executive business and career coach, supporting and working through various business and career issues, impacting their executive presence, supporting their leadership growth and development and that of their teams and creating a sustainable culture.
There are so many facets of life, and work is one of them. I am committed to the notion that it be productive, fun, and fulfilling. I have found that people are the most productive when they feel appreciated, acknowledged, and compensated according to their accomplishments. Organizations that are successful in creating and maintaining this type of culture find themselves “at the top of the list” of employers to have a career with and not just a “job.”
